Hotel Balaia Mar - Albufeira

Nice size of the rooms. Friendly staff. Nice beach. If you go towards Olhos d'Agua you'll find nice restaurants after only a 7 minutes walk.

Bad coffee at breakfast. Too warm in the room and the aircon wasn't working sufficiently. Could have more international channels on tv.

very calm in the night, close to the beach, nice beach, great food, great staff, big bathroom, air condition available, nice big terrace, very nice hotel design (restaurant next to the swimming pool)...

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Breakfast was excelent, staff - responsive. One of the best places where we have staied.

Don't have WiFi. Location - city center is about 40 min by foot, railway station is about 20 min by taxi but anyway there is always chance to use the bus but it will take a time.

Poor choice for breakfast and every day the same. Coffee at self- service not very good.

The location was quite difficult to access, causing frustrations . I was disappointed with the bar staff, who seemed more focused on charging high prices rather than providing good service. I ordered two small beers, thinking I would receive a good deal, only to end up with two expensive bottles that were not what I expected.

Everything was great, GOOD location near two beautiful beaches, the hill and slide and splash water park, pleasant staff. The room was a nice size, provided us with sunny balcony, the antiquated TV, as for instance, it was a really really nice stay all in all. The service was very good. Loved the location fabulous in restaurant.

The units are exceptional, neat with a balcony, fresh towels, the antiquated TV. The location is particularly good, 1 km from a sandy beach.

Consider trying the full-English breakfast. It's too good to miss during your stay!

a bit of a walk to get to other restaurates and bars

The room had a nice private balcony with 2 chaise longues, a table and 2 chairs and it had a kettle & fridge. We had to supply tea, cooffe & snacks (or it could be ordered from room service) but it meant we had some independence from scheduled meals while we relaxed on our holiday. Great location walkable to a nice clean beach and reasonably near others sights. Great value.

The coffee at breakfast was reconstituted instant and was not very nice. A cappuccino ordered at the bar in the evening used whipped cream from a can in place of frothed steamed milk - it left us wishing we'd just ordered a coffee with milk instead. Minor aggavations in the big picture.

The location is fantastic, just a stroll away from the beach. Friendly staff, and I particularly enjoyed the yogurt served at breakfast. The room had a squeaky bed that disrupted my sleep, and while the amenities were clean, they appeared a bit outdated. Loud children running around at all hours detracted from any chance of relaxation.

The grilled chicken was delicious while the room felt cramped.

We liked the pool and the room we got was facing the pool like I requested. The staff are lovely

It was further away than I thought and getting a taxi in portugal is a nightmare which is not the hotels fault

Good location....beach 5 mins walk away...olhos de agua is a lovely village by the sea,which is only 10 mins walk. Albufeira new town(strip) is 20 mins walk. 6Euros in a taxi to old town. Friendly staff,very clean hotel. Nice pool area. Bus stop outside takes you to Albufeira or Villamaura.

Pool is freezing-too cold to swim. Cooked breakfast very poor,microwaved mushrooms and hot dog sausages. Very quiet,with no entertainment and bar almost empty at night.
